The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kits were designed to turn your ordinary side discharge commercial mower into an extreme grass pulverizing machine. The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kits come in 7 options to fit most dual blade commercial mowers.
The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter holds your original blade and an additional mulching blade at a perfect 90 degree angle. Your original blade (lower) will give the clean height of cut and the mulching blade above, with multiple cutting edges, pulverizes the cut grass as it cycles through the deck chamber dramatically reducing grass clipping size.
With the use of the X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kit you can not only mulch but bag more efficiently as well. This kit allows you to bag the grass with more vacuum and grass packing than ever before, as well as side discharge with confidence.
Also, when using The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kit, you are ensuring a perfect balance to the machines blade spindles, which will not allow blade slippage, which can cause a blade to over torque and become nearly impossible to remove. We do recommend lowering the RPM’s when you engage and disengage the PTO clutch.
PLEASE NOTE: The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapters fit all standard commercial mower blades that are 2 1/2" wide and have a 5/8" center hole.

Attention SCAG Owners:
Available below, shorter blade spindle spacers required to use the stock bolts and keep the blades at the proper height under the deck and perform best. This is for the machines with the 1 ¼” tall stock spacer. This shorter above blade spindle spacer allows you to run the stock SCAG blade bolt and keeps the blades at the same cutting height and perform best. Its not required but you would need to get 10” long bolts if you don’t use this spacer and the blades sit ¼” lower on the machine which can create some grass blowout.
X-Blade Bobcat
Situation:
It has been confirmed that the following Bobcat mower models, CRZ & XRZ, cannot use X-Blade adapters. Even though the blades are 2.5”W x 5/8 CH, the spindle design does not use a separate blade bolt. Instead, the spindle has a permanent threaded stud coming out of the spindle with a blade nut to secure the blade. This does not allow the option to lengthen the stud in order to accommodate the added blade and adapter to assure proper thread coverage to tighten the blade. Additionally, any mower that has the same spindle set up (with a permanent stud) cannot accommodate X-Blade adapters. Also, when using The X-Blade Dual Mulching Blade Adapter Kit, you are ensuring a perfect balance to the machines blade spindles, which will not allow blade slippage, which can cause a blade to over torque and become nearly impossible to remove.
